So In Love With You...

A year ago today, I married my best friend, the love of my life, my hero, the man of my dreams. This past year has been an incredible ride! Ups and downs, good times and challenging ones....have made me fall in love with you more each day. You have taught me so many things since we've been married...selflessness, patience, trust, love. You are so sweet, caring, tender. Yet strong, brave, determined. You are an incredible man of God who shows me daily what it is to lay down yourself and love another. You make me laugh and bring so much joy in my life. You are a leader, and you have so many gifts and talents.

This life you have given me is one that I have always wanted to live. Being able to work along side you, is such an incredible blessing and gift! I'm honored to be the one who stands by your side, who is able to work with you, raise our children with you, who can be there with you through the good times and the bad. I love this life you given me Leighton, and I fall more and more in love with you each passing day!! I pray that we have so many more wonderful years to come! You have my heart always. I love you.

Our Trip...

On Tuesday, Leighton, Jane, and I left for a what was supposed to be a two day trip to deliver a tractor to Idaho and a baler to Oregon. We were able to see some beautiful country on the way and everything was going great! As we were leaving Oregon and getting close to Idaho, we noticed our brakes started smoking. They shouldn't have been since we just replace all the trailer brakes. We pulled over and checked them out. The seal that was brand new gave out, so there was no oil to lubricate the bearing. :P We stopped at the nearest fuel station and bought some oil to pour in the bearings. We made it to our destination in Idaho around 7:00. We unloaded the tractor and Ken, who bought the tractor, helped us out with fixing the trailer. Didn't get it fixed till after midnight. So after a long day of driving, we were tired!! We stayed the night in the sleeper and headed to Oregon at 5. We got there that morning and delivered the baler and loaded a new one to take back to Nevada with us. As we left the dealer, our air bags on the trailer wouldn't air up and we were smoking again!! So, we went to a Peterbilt shop to have them take a look at everything. Upon inspection, we found that we needed to replace all the new bearings again and in need of a new rear axle! Wade, my brother-in-law, had accidently put the bearings on wrong. So, we had to spend an extra night, which was fine by me because that meant more time with my man and us together as a family! They were able to fix everything they could to get us home safely. So, Thursday, we were able to leave around 2:00 and got home around 8:30. We were so thankful to the Lord for getting us home safely! If we wouldn't have stopped at the shop and had been an hour later, we would have been stranded in the middle of no where with no cell service!! Jane did so well on the tip! Slept super good in the truck...it lulled her to sleep. :) As you can see in the pictures, she was a very happy girl! These times are so precious to me...already going by so fast!

Jane right before we left....She was very excited! ;)

Love her in a hoodie!

Sleeping in the sleeper :)

Look at those chubby legs and cheeks!

In this picture we were just getting ready to head back home and I asked her "Are you ready to hit the road?" and this is the look I got! :D

A VERY serious driver!

All three of us on our first adventure! How I cherish these times!

"Big Daddy"

"Big Daddy" is our big Peterbilt semi truck. This week we are making several hauls to Idaho and Oregon! I so look forward to these times of Leighton and I, and now Jane, being able to see Gods beautiful country while we work! I love working with my man and Leighton really enjoys hauling, and spending these times with me. :) Jane has been doing great in the semi! She loves the sleeper (as do I :) and sleeps wonderful as the motion of the truck lulls her to sleep. :) I will post pictures from our adventures as soon as we get back. But since I'm on the road right now, it will have to wait. :)

On the road again!

*You are 20 inches long (10th percentile)

*You wear size 1 diaper

* You just got into 0-3 months clothes

*You take 2-3 naps a day...usually 2-3 hours.

*You are a combination of your Daddy and me :)

*Started smiling and cooing...and you do it all the time!

*You are going through a BIG growth spurt!

*You like to suck your thumb which is SO cute! (but hoping you don't do it when your teeth start coming in!)

*You have turned over on your back from your side.

*You love to be in your swing in the mornings and talk to your owls. :) But you really don't like to be in it in the evenings.

*You LOVE when Daddy comes home! You smile great big and want to be held by him a lot. And if your crying when he's home, he's really good at calming you down and you  really only calm down for him if you know he's there. :)

*You love going for walks in the stroller and go out working with Daddy :)

*You do great in the big semi truck "Big Daddy" You slept like a champ on your first big haul!

* You were sleeping for 5 hours....then this growth spurt came and it's back to every three hours. But I cherish these times of just you and me in the wee hours of the morning. :)

You look a  lot like me when I was a baby in this picture :)

But look just like Daddy in this one!
