Only One Week Away...

      This time next week, I am going to be a married woman!! :D So hard to believe all of this is happening! This week I went over to our house (even that sounds strange!) and ripped out all the old carpet so we can get the new carpet in. I hope and pray it all works out... we are getting really close to the wire.

     Today, since it is my last weekend at home, we went to Reno and just had a fun day together as a family. We went out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants, Red Lobster, and then did a little shopping and just enjoyed the day together. We went to Old Navy and I found some really cute outfits for the honeymoon. :)

     Family is going to start coming in on Tuesday...then decorating and rehearsal on Friday and then.............
THE WEDDING DAY!!! It still really doesn't feel real. For the past few months, I cant remember anything!! (which doesn't really help my Dear Momma...) I think the reality of it all will really set in after we return from our honeymoon (which is a surprise all planned out by my Dear Love by the way... :)

    Such mixed emotions going on right now....on minute I'm so excited and can't WAIT to get married...and then I realize this is the end of life as I know it. I am soaking up the rest of this family time that I have left. Yet I am SO excited to see what the Lord has in store for Leighton and I as we start our life together. So many changes...some hard and some easy. It will take the two of us to not think of ourselves, but the other, and put God first and foremost. It will be hard because we are leaving our families, and starting a new one...we will miss how things were...but so enjoy the time we have together as we leave and cleave. Don't get me wrong....I am SOOO in love with this man God has so graciously blessed me with and SOOOO look forward to living my life with him...but as my wedding day approaches, a lot of thoughts have been coming to my mind as so many things in my life are coming to a close. I pray that God gives me the strength to be the wife that Leighton needs and that together, we can be a mighty team for Him to bring Him all the glory He deserves!

The Beginning...

     This blog is about our life, what we do, what we stand for, the fun we have...and a lot of the little stuff that makes up this life. We want to share our story...how we met, got engaged, and in 16 days, our wedding. :) Then our life as we strive to live it for the Glory of God. We hope that as we write, the Lord would be glorified in it all, and that you can see that we try and live our life for Him. A short introduction, we know, but it will have to do for now. :)
